Let it go, spirits, we all float. A couple different names I have for this image right here. This is one of my favorite images I have captured recently. Taken towards the city of San Juan off of the back of a boat in the night with an open aperture, a 1/10 shutter speed, and extreme luck. Not even realizing what I had captured until peeping the viewfinder later that evening on the deck. I grew with excitement after sifting through the other blurry images.
For me, this picture represent many things but overall a release. Ghosts from the past, light being shown through, tension breaking through and releasing. A freedom for those spirits both light and dark, bright, red, or anything in between. As with any medium of art though, this is up to anyone’s interpretation.
I will say though, what do you think of these ghosts transforming? What if these ghosts truly learned freedom. Maybe they grow wings? I guess we will see.

P.S – I also had part of a song recorded previously to this that when I thought on this image and the message I thought that their ideas fit very well in unison with one another. Here is the link for the song and visualizer that contains a little more motion within the message and the image. Let It Go.
